The coin holder is made using a unique Florentine technique that almost makes the outside seams invisible. The leather is made supple and stretched over a hand made wooden mould, to form the curvature of the coin holder. It is then covered in the hand cut stingray skins. Working with stingray requires a specialized technique as the skin at the edges is like leather, but the central white pearls are like ivory. The individuality of the skins and the tanning process makes each stingray item truly unique. Our clients also use these cases for pills and small sweets.
