Blue Camouflage Gloves
Description
One of our Italian clients has a few matt green cars (well actually a few car companies as well), including a Ferrari and a Jeep painted in matt camouflage - these gloves are an homage to his unique stylings.
Whilst in Bologna at a leather show, we came across some English hides with a camouflage print on them. Being slightly unusual, we asked if these were used for leather bags. The response was a deadpan, "no, for military sniper gloves".
The leather is not as soft nor supple as the cape skin we use from the same tannery, but we know they can take a beating. Lined with cashmere, no army glove was ever this luxurious.
Hand cut by our master glove maker in Vienna, he was taught glove making by his father who used to make gloves for the Austrian, Swiss and Lichtenstein national ski teams - (I didn't know Lichtenstein had a national skiing team either). He also makes the gloves for the Spanish riding school in Vienna.
These gloves are cut in Austria and lined with Italian knit cashmere to keep out the cold. A discrete leather-lined vent makes putting on the gloves easier. Please order a size smaller than you normally would, so if you are a size 8 1/2, order a size 8 as they are a close but elegant fit.
