The full range of suiting, khaki and jean fabrics are available for bespoke trousers, whether as part of a suit or a separate trouser. Every client’s build is different, and according to the wearer’s physique, personal style and cloth chosen, a corresponding trouser style will be created (our house trouser style should that be the client’s preference, is a higher sitting waist and slimmer leg that elongates and flatters the lower body). A paper pattern is then drafted from scratch based on the client’s measurements and fit preferences and the cloth is cut by hand by our team of cutters.
The same attention to detail on the outside of the trouser is carried over to the inside where the raw edges in the front of the trouser are taped and lined, a comfortable crotch piece is inserted, and the pocket bag seams have all been turned in, to remove any fabric raw edges. The waistband lining of the trouser is made in the same fabric as the lining of the jacket (where possible), so that the client knows that the trouser belongs to a particular jacket to form a suit (helpful when one is getting dressed at dawn).
Hidden pockets can be incorporated on the inside or the outside of the trouser. There is a choice of seam, slant, frog/jean or welted pockets in front, or a client’s own bespoke design. Fishtail back for braces are also available (suspenders are for ladies). Belt loops, button or buckle side adjusters or even no waist adjustment are available for the waistband. The biggest compliment a client gave us about his Udeshi trousers was that he forgot he was wearing trousers: they were so light, soft and comfortable. Prices start from £1095.
