Description

The third jacket we created after our duffle corto and shawl reefer. This is our version of a casual blazer, with a barchetta breast pocket - the opening is curved like a small Italian boat (barchetta). The side pockets are deep enough for a pair of gloves, a few cigars, sunglasses, and the ticket patch pocket is ideal for keys, a lighter or other small items.

Woven by Abraham Moon who have also woven for Chanel and used to weave the fabric for the British Army greatcoat and the RAF overcoat, the Shetland tweed is a little lighter and softer than the traditional Harris Tweed, but no less beautiful. It is not too warm to wear indoors in a restaurant for example - something that Harris Tweed does not cope so well with. Can be paired with jeans, khakis or grey woolen trousers, dressed up with a tie or down with a sweater - think Steve McQueen in Bullitt, one just needs a highland green Ford Mustang fastback now.

The sleeves come unfinished and can be lengthened or shortened to the correct size and functioning cuffs can be made.

Made of pure Shetland tweed, outside of Porto, Portugal.
