We have reissued our very popular safari jacket, this time in a special water repellent drab poplin cotton from Brisbane Moss. We have also removed the fly front and made it button through, removing a piece of fabric and saving a little bit of weight.
This jacket is great for traveling with four generous closing pockets accommodating passports, mobile phones, battery packs, sunglasses, headphones etc. And being water repellent it can also be used as a rain jacket.
The cotton fabric is still breathable, and not suffocating like some synthetics. The buttons are hand cut from corozo nuts that are sustainable and take on a beautiful wood grain like effect when dyed. Corozo used to be known as vegetable ivory. We only had enough fabric to make ten jackets. When they are gone they are gone.
